About

20 years of experience

My mission is to develop brand building and commercial outdoor products and to help you, your company and your customers to experience and better understand the beauty of nature.

The true outdoor knowhow as a former Swedish mountain guide and an adventure sports top atlete combined with more than 20 years in the outdoor sports industry have given me a broad and solid understanding not only what defines a successful product, but also how to navigate through and achieve a high level of product design and workmanship. I will also be able to guide and help you to do business in a more responsible way and how your product affect the environment.

Cases

  • RYGGSÄCK N:O 1

As Haglöfs approached its centennial, there was a lot of discussion about how this milestone should be celebrated. It was decided fairly early that the product that would be used for the celebration would be a backpack, since Wiktor Haglöf once upon a time started his business around backpacks.

The project became really authentic as we agreed on that the backpack must be 100% made in Sweden, which meant that all of the material, suppliers and production must come from and be carried out in Sweden. A unique project.

  • Traverse pant

A classic outdoor pant and an original copied by many. Became soon after its launch in 2003 a best-seller and is still one of the most sold outdoor pants in Scandinavia. Perfect for all types of outdoor activities and for every season. It features stretch panels in strategic places, long vents on the sides and Cordura® reinforced insteps. Traverse from Lundhags is one of the most popular pants in Scandinavia with a comfortable fit and well chosen materials.

  • Bilskirner Jacket

The Bilskirner jacket in organic cotton and recycled polyester won the finest of all prizes, the Ispo OutDoor Award 2010. This is what the jury had to say: Klättermusen’s Bilskirner Jacket is a skillful synthesis of sustainable materials and a has a high degree of function combined with a successful design. Despite foregoing membranes conventionally used in outerwear construction, the Bilskirner Jacket exhibits all technical characteristics of an outdoor jacket and is the perfect alternative for more than just eco-conscious outdoor sports enthusiasts.

Staff training

MORE

My years in the industry shows a need of outdoor training and competence development in order to give people insight of the products essence. Theoretical and practical. The goal is to strengthen the outdoor experience and knowhow at all levels within product- and sales teams. This increases their self confidence and gives them and their company a higher level of credibility.

Field testing

MORE

An Achilles´heel in the industry and its fast development speed and demand for growth is that it is sometimes difficult to secure the product quality through sufficient and reality field tests. To use teams, ambassadors or athletes is a common way to collect feedback, but I will add 20 years of design and development experience to that, meaning feedback is followed by an action plan.

Back in 1932, shoemaker Jonas Lundhag began manufacturing shoes and boots in a small workshop in the Swedish wilderness region of Jämtland. His sense of quality, as well as function was just as pronounced as his love of nature. Since then, the knowledge and traditions have been handed down from generation to generation and even today you can find this special ‘Lundhags feeling’ in all of their products.

It all began on a spring day in 1914. Wiktor Haglöf has just finished sewing the first batch of backpacks and fastened them to his bicycle. He is about to try his luck selling them to local foresters and farmers. Outstanding Outdoor Equipment at SEK 0.90 a piece. Today Haglöfs is the largest supplier of outdoor equipment in the Nordic region and has reached a high level of sustainability.

One evening, during a caving trip in 1982, a group sat around the campfire and thought about good names for a company, one which would make functional clothing and backpacks for extreme outdoor activities like climbing and winter expeditions. Peter, the founder, wanted a name that would have associations with climbing but be humorous, and which would go against the trend of being “cool”. Klättermusen, a name that was inspired by a children’s story, stuck. Over the years, Klättermusen has worked on the issue of toxin-free textiles and been involved in environmental projects. At Klättermusen, the motivations are to make a difference and to inspire others.
